物の哀れ / Mono No Aware Eau de Parfum 50 ml Baruti
物の哀れ / Mono No Aware by Baruti is a powdery and green perfume for men and women.
Mono No Aware is a key term in Japanese culture and is loosely translated as the appreciation of things due to the understanding of their impermanence. I first came across the term Mono No Aware in Sally Mann's autobiography. The term immediately resonated with me, as, for as long as I can remember, I have had that feeling of happiness/sadness when, on one hand, you understand that all things exist only temporarily and, at the same time, you feel amazed to have had the opportunity to experience them. It is the eternal circle of attachment and detachment. Philosophically, I never particularly connected with terms like Memento Mori or Vanitas. Renouncing the material world does not seem to me equivalent to enlightenment or liberation, but rather to the fear that I associate with apathy, indifference, and insensitivity. So I felt ecstatic when I discovered Mono No Aware, finally a term that felt natural to me. Yes, loss brings sadness, but don't we say that it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved? Well, there you have it! And on a perfume level, isn't the experience of perfume inherent to Mono No Aware? The moment you spray it on, it begins to disappear, and that is part of the beauty of perfume ???? This perfume is a tribute to this feeling and the culture that brought us the term.
